NEW YEARS EVE 12/31
The Artist Omega, was booked by Boletos Express and VIPVida Productions to perform with his band at the Tropicana Theater and Nightclub in the Bronx, NY for the New Year Eve Celebration. The contract to book Omega was from his Management company-Trivecca Entertainment.
The Event was promoted by a collaboration of Boletos Express, VIPVida Productions, Brisa Productions and CIN Productions. At the Tropicana Nightclub he was scheduled to perform at 4am. Omega and his band did not arrive at 4am. When his manager was called several times he finally responded and said that Omega and his band would be at the Tropicana in 15 minutes - forty five minutes later - after several more calls - his manager stated that they were delayed and would be there in 10-15 minutes this was at 5:15am when he did not arrive by 6am -several hundred paying customers became very angry and left the club. Omega finally arrived with his band at 7:15am. Three and a half hours after he was scheduled to perform. Many Fans/Customers left very upset and Omega did not get on stage until 7:45am.
After negotiating with Trivecca Entertaiment's Kaylon Lamar it was agreed that he would do a Make-up concert/Appearance at the Tropicana on January 15th to make up for this Disrespect to all involved and to Give away Free tickets to all Angry and Upset Fans. This Seemed to be the best solution to both his Management team and the Production company’s involved and the Tropicana Nightclub.
SATURDAY JANUARY 15/MAKE-UP APPEARANCE
A new contract was drawn up for the January 15th appearance. Omega's management company received a deposit at the time of signing of this contract. Contract was signed by Trivecca Entertainment, Boletos Express and VIPVida Productions.
The New event was promoted enthusiastically to the customers who were upset by the New Years Eve situation . The Event was billed as ‘The Omega Encore Concert’ with a Mega 97.9 Live Broadcast by Alex Sensation.
Both Mega 97.9 Radio Station and Alex Sensation understood the importance of the event for all the Fans/customers who were still very upset with the New Years Show and in return they supported this new event fully thru on-Air Ticket Give Aways.
Boletos Express, VIPVida Productions, The Tropicana Nightclub, Brisa Productions, CIN Productions and along with Alex Sensation and Mega 97.9 Radio station gave away over 550 free tickets to the January 15th event to customers that left the Tropicana on NYE before Omega arrived.
When the Tropicana Nightclub and All those involved in this event were informed by Omega’s Management company Trivecca Entertainment that he was not going to attend. No words can explain what we all felt, We were all Horrified! It was just before the doors opened at the Tropicana on Saturday the 15th and after over 200 additional tickets were sold for this event.
In an effort was made to accommodate the Fans/Customers in the midst of this horrendous situation. Tropicana Nightclub, Boletos Express, VIPVida Productions refunded to each and every customer their money at the door. In addition there was no Door Charge this night-All Customers were Admitted Free. They were also given Free tickets to next weeks event being given at the Tropicana Nightclub hosted by Lenny and Max from Aventura on Saturday January 22nd.
Mega 97.9 Radio Station and Alex Sensation were extremely helpful in relaying this information On-air during the Live Broadcast from 10pm-12 Midnight. This avoided many conflicts that may have occurred.
Not enough Praise can be given to Mega 97.9's Alex Sensation in his handling this extremely difficult situation when Omega did not show up. Not only did Alex Sensation relay all the information to his listeners during the Live Broadcast, But personally came to Tropicana that night went onstage talked to the audience about the situation and stayed at the Tropicana, DJ and entertained the guests all night .This is why Alex Sensation has the Respect & Admiration from both his fans & peers.
The End result is that the Artist Omega after his disgraceful showing up at after 7am for his New Years Appearance and agreeing to do a Make-up appearance on the January 15th did not Show up again. This is unacceptable for his Fans and shows a lack of respect for both the Fans and the businesses that book and spend money to promote him .
He is also on the same night January 15th did not show up at Club Tropical in Passaic, New Jersey leaving hundreds of fans waiting and upset.
There are rumors of his being arrested in Florida for drugs at the airport and rumors that he did not show up at appearances because of money owed. None of this is true. He was paid on New Years Eve and given a Deposit for Saturday January 15th. The truth is he stayed in Florida to attend a Pitbull Birthday Celebration at a Nightclub in Miami. The plain Truth is he is Irresponsible, has no care for his obligations or consideration for the hard earned money his fans spend to see him perform or respect for all those involved in these events. Antonio Peter de la Rosa(Omega) should be ashamed of himself.
Neither Boletos Express, VIPVida Productions, Brisa Productions, CIN Productions, Tropicana Nightclub, El Morocco Nightclub or anyone associated with us will book the Artist Omega for any Further dates and we have in fact cancelled those that were planned.
